Direct Support Professional - Rehabilitation Services Floater

Job DescriptionStarting pay $20.
00/hrThe Rehabilitation Services Floater provides support, assistance, and guidance to individuals with disabilities at Mobile Crew, Transportation, and in the three Day Support programs in Prince William County when there is a need for coverage.
Supports will enable the individual to develop skills and enhance their ability to engage with their community.
Day Support Provide direct support to consumers in accordance with written ISP outcomes.
Monitors and documents daily on individual consumer progress toward written ISP outcomes.
Maintains and follows a daily schedule of training activities.
Informs Program Services Specialists/Program Manager of consumer's achievements, incidents, progress, or problems as needed.
Performs morning and afternoon transition duties including but not limited to transportation assistance, personal care, and set up of activities.
Provides one-on-one specialized assistance to consumers with identified needs for additional support.
Upholds all participant's Human Rights and serves as an advocate for consumers.
Completes and maintains all required Didlake training.
Transport and support individuals while participating in community activities such as fitness, art, recreational classes, volunteerism, shopping, dining, educational tours, museums, festivals, etc.
Assist individuals with establishing relationships in the community, as appropriate to fully integrate and use the community as a learning environment.
Deliver Day Support services that are in full compliance with Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Settings Regulations; In a setting that is integrated into and supports full access to the greater community; Is selected by the individual from a variety of settings options; Ensures individual rights of privacy, dignity, respect, and freedom from coercion and restraint; Optimizes autonomy and independence in making life choices; Facilitates choice regarding services and who provides them.
Requires that the person-centered planning process is directed by the individual or individual's chosen representative; Outlines the minimum requirements for person-centered service plans with individually identified goals and preferences.
Follow safety protocols to include wearing designated personal protective equipment.
Thoroughly clean and disinfect assigned program sites and vehicles at least daily and regularly disinfect areas designated as high touch throughout the day.
Transportation Responsible for the safe and timely transport of Didlake consumers to/from work, routine and minor maintenance of the vehicles.
Operates vehicles safely and in accordance with state and local regulations.
Transports Didlake consumers in a timely fashion adhering to assigned schedules.
Transports Didlake consumers, daily, between home and the site or workplace according to the prescribed route.
Supervises consumers during transport.
Performs daily maintenance checks of the vehicle's operating conditions and reports any deficiencies.
Performs daily recording of ridership, miles traveled, hours driven, maintenance needs, and fuel use.
Follow safety protocols to include wearing designated personal protective equipment.
Thoroughly clean and disinfect assigned program sites and vehicles at least daily and regularly disinfect areas designated as high touch throughout the day.
Mobile Work Crew Supervise employees by performing the required elements of contract work.
Drive employees to designated worksites.
Assist employees with the tools and supplies needed to pull trash and recycling from receptacles.
Monitor the safety of employees on worksites and while navigating in parks and busy city areas.
Ensure employees wear protective equipment, as required, and have all required safety gear.
Properly maintain equipment and vehicles needed to complete contract work.
Keep the required credentials/badging current.

RequirementsEducation:
High School Diploma/GED plus one (1) year experience working with individuals with disabilities required.
Skills and Abilities:
Be deemed eligible for hire by DBHDS and DSS in accordance with the criminal registry background check.
Present a positive and professional image to the public, coworkers, and Didlake consumers Maintain insurability under Didlake's automobile policy.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
