The primary goals of this role are to increase the organization's brand as a thought leader, drive improved security practices, to inform policy making, and to recruit and retain members.
This will be accomplished in part through:
Publishing and promoting thought leadership content Expanding media engagement Maintaining active and engaging website and social media channels Driving membership engagement and retention Promoting organizational initiatives and products Primary responsibilities include:
Building and maintaining a database of member prospects and contacts Responding to and tracking requests for membership Reporting on membership inquiries, prospects, and other pertinent information Assist as needed with membership onboarding, renewal, and other activities Performing market research to inform outreach and messaging within the industry Assisting in building and implementing communications strategies including but not limited to newsletters (weekly and monthly), emails, and social media campaigns Updating existing collateral to ensure they remain timely and accurate Assist with the development and implementation of strategies that drives views of published content Continuous oversight of website and social media content and accounts Responsible for website updates and changes Assisting in developing presentations for conferences and meetings Proofing and formatting documents, presentations and other collateral ensuring published documents reflects client branding and professionalism Assisting outside consultants in media monitoring and outreach and building media distribution lists Assisting in receiving and processing media inquiries Provide surge and redundancy support to other staff functions and Other reasonable tasks as may be assigned Minimum requirements/skillsets are:
Bachelor's Degree, in communications, marketing or related field The ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision Proficient in programs such as Wix, Canva, Adobe, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, etc.
Eye for creativity Excellent written and oral communications skills Strong work ethic and organizational skills This position will report to the President and CEO but will work closely with outside consultants.
This is a small company that requires teamwork.
Therefore, it is essential that the candidate be willing to assist team members in tasks as needed beyond those identified in the job description.
