1 Manassas, VA Manassas, VA Full-time Full-time $69,560 - $83,472 a year $69,560 - $83,472 a year GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the day to day operations of clinical services to include delegation and oversight of nursing staff, Skilled Nursing program structure and oversight, development and oversight of medication and clinical trainings, advocacy and collaboration regulatory boards, and consultation to enCircle's employees and to Family Care Providers (FCP's) and Family Care Assistants (FCA's), in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, REQUIREMENTS AND PREREQUISITES Medication Trainer certification or ability to acquire Understanding of the code of nursing regulations Understanding of the Nurse Practice Act -Skilled Nursing delegation Valid Virginia or West Virginia Drivers' License and proof of insurance Satisfactory Driving Record in compliance with Driver Requirement Policy Access to a personal vehicle for individual transport as required Knowledge of and ability to comply with state licensing, Medicaid and other agency standards.
Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds Ability to work assigned work schedule Ability to maintain records, prepare reports and required paperwork according to licensing and agency requirements in a timely manner Flexibility to work at sites other than usual work location when circumstances warrant Basic computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office preferred Ability to observe health and safety regulations Ability to uphold the Prevention of Disease transmission guidelines Ability to uphold Human rights standards, including confidentiality Ability to uphold HIPAA regulations SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
May be required to perform any of the following duties:
Works as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of all services Nurse Division Provide administrative and operational supervision to nursing staff in both Virginia and West Virginia to include recruiting, training, goal setting, work methods, processes, understanding/ following all regulatory standards and internal policies and procedures, accomplishing program and individual goals Ensure that all aspects of the new hire process is followed Ensure that services are provided with a person-centered approach Ensure authorization for services is approved and submit billing accordingly.
Manage performance issues and facilitate problem resolution with nursing staff according to enCircle policy Deliver oral or written presentations to community groups, referring agencies and others to facilitate the growth and development of the program.
Maintain positive relations and constant communication with community partners and referral sources Assist in the establishment of the budget and assure that all clinical services and supports are provided within the budget or identify issues that can be altered to decrease clinical expenses Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders assuring that the best treatment plan for the individual with medical needs is established and carried out by an interdisciplinary and holistic team Assure that all health needs of the individual are met in a timely manner as identified by nursing team or other team members across developmental services who request nursing consultation Develop and implement medical protocols and procedures and ensure they follow best practice standards and are compliant with current regulatory guidelines and boards Assure human rights of all individuals served by nursing team are protected always Provide advocacy for the individuals and families enCircle supports Respond to complaints from individuals, families, CSB and other coordinating providers Training Develop trainings in accordance with board approved curriculums and ensure compliance with training regulatory requirements for clinical trainings.
To include but not limited to, 32 Hour Medication Administration, Medication Orientation, Gastrostomy Training, Diastat training, and Diabetes with Glucagon and Epinephrine Oversee and provide training in 32 hour medication administration course in accordance with standards Oversee Relias-based annual medication review in accordance with standards Ensure that all trainings are verified and recorded and the proper paperwork is in the file Maintain training equipment and supplies as needed Keep all instructor statuses for all trainers current and submit documentation of such to HR Assess and update trainings/paperwork and tests in order to meet changes Supervise other medication administration trainers Nurse Delegation As requested, assess individuals who may need skilled nursing delegation Train and supervise/observe RN Case Managers, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) Health Coordinators, Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)/Family Care Providers (FCPs)/Family Care Assistants (FCAs)/Direct Support Professional II's (DSPIIs) in those situations where clinical guidance or skilled nursing is required and can be delegated Maintain the proper documentation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and licensing and Medicaid regulations for skilled nursing delegation Provide the manager with a copy of the documentation for filing in the individual's record Conducting regular audits of nursing files, ensuring all necessary corrections are made when deficiencies are found Why you'll love working at enCircle:
