Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Position Available in Manassas, Virginia! Are you passionate about helping individuals improve their communication skills? ProCare Therapyis seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to add to our team!
Responsibilities:
Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in conducting assessments and evaluations of clients' speech, language, and communication abilities.
Implement individualized therapy plans developed by the supervising SLP.
Provide direct therapy services to clients, including implementing exercises and activities to improve speech and language skills.
Assist clients with the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, if applicable.
Document client progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions.
Collaborate with the supervising SLP and other members of the therapy team to develop and adjust treatment plans.
Provide support and guidance to clients and their families or caregivers.
Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) preferred.
Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping others.
