Metropolitan Communications Group (MCG), based out of the Greater Philadelphia area in PA, provides engineering, installation and maintenance for the telecommunications industry. MCG clients benefit from a full range of services: Engineering; Aerial Construction; Underground Construction; Fiber Optic Splicing; Safety and Damage Prevention.
Foreman is generally responsible for organizing daily activities of crew members, maintaining a safe work environment, reporting daily job information, optimizing crew productivity and ensuring quality workmanship.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in Turnover Meeting - Review all Project Documents, Specs and Plans. Obtain a clear understanding of Project Scope (with Estimator/PM/Superintendent)
Job Setup - Confirm start date with superintendent and follow up on utility notifications and mark outs. Plan initial construction activities and coordinate material dispatch with Superintendent
Prepare weekly forecast with Superintendent to schedule labor, equipment, material deliveries, and fuel deliveries
Monitor all job resources to enable successful completion of project scope without delay such as:
Job site accessibility
Schedule - Communicate project sequencing with management and customer
Material inventory, allocation, and ordering
Safety Equipment, Fall protection, Safety Fence and Posts, etc.
Direct Daily Construction Activities
Monitor Safety of all Construction Activities and schedule Safety Meetings as required.
Coordinate Inspections, testing and material releases as required, report results on daily paperwork
Coordinate Layout as required
Communicate with PM/Superintendent regarding any issues or additional work immediately
Maintain Work Truck & Equipment - keep clean and organized, schedule service and inspections as needed, maintain inventory of small tools and safety gear.
Delegate fueling and greasing of equipment
Monitor and schedule service of small engine equipment
Monitor hours of large equipment for service intervals
Daily Reporting - detailed employee and equipment hours, employee attendance, production quantities, progress notes and photos, delivery/rental tickets, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years of related work experience
Experience working in an Urban environment in and around multiple utilities
Ability to communicate with other team members
Willingness to work and follow instructions
Valid driver's license (Class A CDL preferred)
Meet physical demands of a construction job
Experience operating heavy equipment
Related safety training and certifications
Pre-employment drug testing and background check
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
