APTS(R) is searching for a Special Education Teacher.
$2,500 Hiring Bonus (Paid out in increments over 1 year of successful employment) APTS(R) offers teachers an extremely supported environment in and out of the classroom.
In the classroom, Program Facilitators help to present individualized lessons as well as support students through behavioral episodes.
Both in and out of the classroom, teachers can rely on their pod's Data Analyst, Behavior Analyst, and Education Specialist to assist in developing and reaching student academic and behavioral goals.
Requirements Employee's duties include, but are not limited to:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plan (IEP) based on results of psycho-educational and other assessments, including implementing strategies developed by speech, occupational, physical therapists, or other IEP mandated service providersDevelop lesson plans on a weekly and monthly basis for each student based on their IEP goals/objectives and in keeping with state requirements (ie, Standards of Learning/Alternate Assessment)Carry out behavioral strategies, including crisis intervention, in keeping with APTS policies and procedures and regulations governing private special education day schoolsProcess with staff daily to ensure awareness of schedule and instructional activitiesAdminister Standards of Learning and other diagnostic testing as appropriate for level of training and student needConduct alternate assessments for students requiring themCoordinate and attend IEP and IDT meetings, parent/teacher conferences, and meetings with other professionals as appropriate and/or requiredWrite quarterly progress reports which include graphs for each student's progressCollect data based on each student's functional assessment and IEPProvide input in the development of each students Behavior Intervention PlanMaintain a clean and neat classroomProvide input regarding staff performance evaluations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in special education OR Master's Degree preferred, or 30 credits accrued towards master's degree in education from an accredited universityCollegiate level or Post-Graduate teaching license preferredProvisional teaching license requiredMust Possess a Virginia teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement OR In lieu of a complete endorsement, a conditional license may be granted if the teacher is actively working towards completing the endorsement OR Hold an out of state teaching license with the Special Education endorsement APTS(R) prides itself in providing the best work environment for our staff members and we offer the following

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
