IntroductionThe summer fun starts here! The Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism has 8 aquatic facilities to include:
2 indoor pools, 4 community pools and 2 waterparks.
The aquatics department serves over 400,000 visitors a year.
The Food and Beverage Supervisor oversees daily operations in one of several assigned concession areas and is responsible for food and beverage inventory control, product rotation, managing stock deliveries of food and beverage items, organizing and preparing for catered events, and ensuring that food venues are properly staffed.
This position also requires weekly attendance to morning In-Service staff meetings.
Supervises and trains seasonal staff to include Head Concessionaires, Concessionaires, and Cooks.
This position reports directly to the Food & Beverage Managers on a daily basis.
The Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism aquatic facilities are a 7 day a week operation which requires a flexible work schedule to include:
early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma.
The Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism conducts DMV records checks on all employees driving for work purposes and criminal background checks on all hires age 18 years and older.
SALARY:
$16.
25/hr.

GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:
Responsible for food and beverage inventory control and product rotation, managing stock deliveries of food and beverage items, and organizing and preparing for catered events.
Supervises and trains seasonal staff to include Head Concessionaires, Concessionaires, and Cooks.
TYPICAL TASKS:
Receives stocks and rotates food and beverage deliveries;Inventories food and beverage and paper items;Supervises food and beverage staff;Oversees catering set-up through catering prep and final presentation;Monitors equipment and safety products for food and beverage department;Performs related work as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of all food and beverage functions.

EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma.
ServSafe certified required.
Two years food and beverage experience preferred or related supervisory experience.
A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls;Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to, a personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine;Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work within a fast paced food and beverage environment;No significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking and repetitive motions.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
