PURPOSE of POSITION:
The Redhat Senior Systems Engineer position is a hands-on engineering and lead implementation role.
The incumbent works within an AWS Cloud environment to effectively harness the power and versatility of cloud technologies to achieve operational efficiencies and cost savings, with an emphasis on Directory services and integration.
The role will explore new solutions within this space and drive the configuration and adoption of those solutions.
The engineer will provide RedHat Linux systems solutions support, infrastructure design and implementation, installation, updates and patching, and maintenance.
They will work to implement new infrastructure and convert legacy infrastructure to Infrastructure-as-Code.
The role will be responsible for management and support of multi-system environments, as well as driving automation of deployments, to include implementing Infrastructure-as-Code and push-button deployments.
Someone who is a generalist but also able to deep dive into specific technology areas as needs dictate will excel in this role.
This is NOT a software development role.
This is an infrastructure- focused role with heavy emphasis on highly available, high performance, scalable infrastructure services delivered via a Managed Services Provider (MSP) model with white-glove Customer Service.
The ideal candidate is an individual who can understand a system end-to-end with a high Just-In-Time learning capacity to find innovative ways to resolve issues in a cloud enterprise environment.
We are looking for someone who can be flexible in a rapidly maturing environment, is self-driven, and can identify problems and propose enhancements or solutions.

Designs, develops, and engineers activities on new and existing systems and subsystems, technologies, equipment, and tools.
Helps to manage the direction and focus of the team in order to maintain systems availability.
Mentors and challenges employees to achieve excellence and high standards.

Provides expert level systems and troubleshooting support when required to resolve issues.
Mentors less experienced engineers and offers solutions to problem issues.

Provides administrative support for new implementations, upgrades, and migrations.

Coordinate and liaise with organizational and cross functional teams in support of client5%:

ESSENTIAL
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experienceCurrent Linux Certified Engineer certification.
